A charity party makes a Difference - The Earth Dance goes around the World
It is the largest organized peace party in the world. The special thing about it: It takes place every year on different continents always on the same weekend.
Since 1997, the world's largest underground party for peace takes place. The event is held annually on 21st September, on the World Peace Day in different places of the world.
Chris Deckker, an English musician and event producer, already back in 1996 had the vision, to coordinate a synchronized psytrance party at the most diverse places in the world simultaneously. In October 1997, then the first Earth Dance Party at 22 locations in 18 countries took place. At that time Tibet was supported with the event. In 1999 the organizers moved to San Francisco, where partnerships with other international peace events and non-profit entities, such as Amnesty International or Citizens for Peace, were adopted.
Based on the starting point of Psytrance, nowadays all kinds of electronic music are indulged at the Earth Dance parties. Neo-Soul, Dubstep or world music, for all kinds of music, an international space was created. People across the globe network via social media to organize open-air concerts, festivals, park events, concerts, club nights, flash mobs or house parties on behalf of Earth Dance to raise money this way for the world and to dance for peace on earth.
