Nude Photography

Black and white or colored, classical or provocative: Nude photography is more than naked skin. As one of the most classical designs of Fine Arts, already early civilizations like the Egyptians knew many nudist portraits. At that time, the high exposure times were one of the major challenges for the models. Today things are different. Through the latest technology arising wonderful nude photographs.

The erotic art form of nude photography can be divided into three factors of the image: light, pose and background. On this, the classic act is shooted in the photo studio. Here it is dealt intensively with the shapeliness of the body that is photographed. This is the groundwork in order to play around with the shapes and proportions of a body and to set it skillfully in scene by the action of light and shadow.

A distinction is made between the classical full nude, whereat a simple background is selected and the model is portrayed completely naked. In the portrayal of detailed views, only details of the body, for example a butt, with an emphasis on forms and structures, are mapped. This usually happens in a close-up. Opposed to that at a half nude the model is partially clothed.

The recordings are in low-key, that is, so photographed with dark shades, or high-key, with more bright colors. In the low-key photography, deep shadows are accentuated, which still have drawings. It is used specifically underexposed and punctual light as a stylistic device. It usually causes strong contrasts. In the high-key photography, in contrast, a high exposure compensation is made. The photographer acieves this with a well-lit studio background.

Nude photographers are ongoing on their search for naked people, but do not appear naked. They shoot their models sometimes erotic, sometimes forcefully, or even weak. Surem, they want to tell a story with their nudes. That's what makes this art form very unique and interesting.
