Wellness Spa
Unique Architecture meets sophisticated Interior Design - Most beautiful Wellness Spas in the World - Part 2
In our first part, we enjoyed three great wellness spas together. Today, we travel to the Maldives, we visit a big city spa in New York and find us on the vast areas of Brandenburg.
Cocoa Iceland, Maldives
That Como Shambhala Retreat is the spa of the island resorts Cocoa Iceland on the Maldive Islands. Here mainly traditional Asian treatments such as Ayurveda are celebrated. Decor and ambiance are kept in warm woody shades. This is to forward the inner flow and attach closeness to nature. This perception is even emphasized through the open sea-view. Visitors can select in between a variety of wellness offers as a steam bath or a hydrotherapy pool. Yoga and meditation are very important in this luxury spa.
The Greenwich Hotel, New York
The Greenwich Hotel is operated by Hollywood star Robert de Niro. The associated "Shibui Spa" beams the high society of the urban jungle of Manhattan in an oasis of wood and bamboo. The swimming pool lights under the roofs of an old Japanese farmhouse and under lanterns. The treatments in the Shibui Spa are worth a visit. The Drunken Lotus Massage kidnaps guests into a world of fragrance out of cucumber seeds, jojoba oil, sake and white lotus.
Gut Klostermuehle, Brandenburg
Architecturally, the Gut Klostermühle with its "Brune Balance Bed & Spa" is the most tradition-steeped of all. Once built in the 14th century by monks, it was later converted to a classic farmhouse. The spa is not only a wellness oasis, but also promises medical and naturopathic treatments. The offer is rounded off by nutritional medicine.
