Bolshoi Theatre, Moscow
Today's Bolshoi Theatre was founded in 1776. At that time, the first years the actors were serfs of Prince Peter Urusov. Mariinsky Theatre, St. Petersburg
The Mariinsky Theatre is one of Russia's oldest and largest theater. It was opened in 1860th. The theater is one of the most beautiful of Russia and perhaps one of the nicest in the world. The hall includes an incredibly lavish decor, which thinks one back to the atmosphere of the Tsarist St Petersburg.
Chekhov Art Theater, Moscow
Founded at then end of the 19th century by Konstantin Stanislavsky and Vladimir Nemirovich-Danchenko, the theater emerged from the Society of Arts and Literature. The art theatre has been well-known by the internationally renowned theater reform Stanislawski`s and became relevant to the development of the acting art beyond the borders of Russia. It thrives on the identification of the actors with her or his characters to embody them.
Alexandrinsky Theater, St. Petersburg
Regent Elisabeth founded the oldest theater in Russia on 30th August 1756. In the last three centuries, it was one of the main royal theater stages throughout Russia.
